Tirumala Vengamamba Anna Prasadam Centre:

Before some years, there was an Annadana Satram near the Kalyanakatta in Tirumala. This Satram has the capacity of only 1000 people. Due to heavy growth in the crowd, the TTD has constructed a huge Anna Prasadam centre near the Varaha Swamy temple. Also, the TTD has removed the token system for Anna Prasadam and now all the people can have food without any tokens.

There are several dining alternatives in Tirumala. Pilgrims, however, must choose the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Anna Prasadam Center. TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam) provides pilgrims visiting Tirumala with Nitya Annadanam. TTD provides pilgrims with highly nutritious and sanitary cuisine. This Annaprasadam facility serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner to devotees. The food at Anna Prasadam Centre is free and limitless for all pilgrims. Meals are served in a very big dining hall. There is no need to wait, and it is completely free. There are four dining halls spread over two floors. Each Dining Hall can hold up to 1,000 people at a time. It is within walking distance to Tirumala Main Temple. The Anna Prasadam Centre is located on Thiru Mada Street, just near to the Sri Hayagreeva Swamy Temple. All devotees adhere to the queue line method. The food quality is excellent. Solar electricity is used for cooking.

On June 4, 1985, T.T.Devasthanams kicked out the Venkateswara Nitya Annadanam Endowment Scheme by providing free meals to 2,000 pilgrims every day at Tirumala. At the time, Sri Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao garu served as the Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The plan was converted into an independent trust on January 4, 1994, and its new name is the “SRI VENKATESWARA NITHYA ANNADANAM TRUST.” This change took effect immediately.
