The devotees will be blessed with the desired outcomes if they have a stronger desire to go to this sacred location. Hence, there are no limits to the enormous grandeur that the temple has.
The “Vimana Gopuram” of the Antarvedi Temple is a towering structure with 5 levels. Near the entrance to the temple, there is an idol of a Garuda, and on each side of it is an idol of a Bhakta Anjaneya.

In common parlance, the Antarvedi Lakshmi Narasimha Temple is referred to as “Dakshina Kashi” (which literally translates to “Kashi of the South”). In the Andhra Pradesh region known as East Godavari, you’ll find an important pilgrimage hub at this location. It is located in the inner portion of the East Coast where it is the farthest inland. Antarvedi is a Sangam point that is located at the confluence of a tributary of the Godavari River and the sea. This confluence is known as the Sagara Sangamam. According to Hindu mythology, one of the seven great sages was a man named Maharishi Vashishth. It is stated that Maharishi Vashishth was responsible for bringing the river into existence.
In truth, Antarvedi is not much more than a little village that is situated adjacent to the Vashisht River. The distance to Narsapur is not very great at all. People travel from all over the world all throughout the year to visit this location because of its one-of-a-kind and rare occurrence: the confluence of the powerful Waters of the Gulf of Bengal and the tributary Godavari’s Vashishtha River.
The Bay of Bengal is one of the world’s largest bays, and the Vashishtha River is one of the River Godavari’s most important tributaries. The place where the massive ocean and the river converge is known as the “Sapta Sagara Sangam Pradesam,” and it is also the name of the place. Don’t be shocked if you hear the “Anna Chelli Gattu” or another name for it, since people use all of them.
History Of The Temple
Myth has it that Lord Brahma, popularly known as the creator, asked to be forgiven for wrongs he had committed against Lord Shiva so that he might go on with his life. Legend has it that Lord Brahma set up an idol of Lord Neela Kantheswara there. Before this, an ashram was built on this fork of the Godavari that the Sage Vashishtha had created.
Raktavilochana, son of Hiranyaksha, then spent almost ten thousand years in penance on the banks of the Vasishta river, all for the sake of gaining Lord Shiva’s favor. Because of Raktavilochana’s devotion and sacrifice, the Lord was delighted with him and granted him a single desire.
Raktavilochana wished for the impossible: that the number of sand grains soaked by the blood drops that fell from his body onto the ground during battle would produce the same number of Rakshasas who were as powerful and vigorous as he was, and that they would aid him in battle and become one with him once they had slain all of his opponents. It turned out that the prayer he’d made to the Lord had been answered.
Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Time Kalyanotsavam Antarvedi And Details
In the Kalyuga time period, the temple was found again by a cowherd who had previously grazed his cows in that location. On a slope, he noticed that one of his cows would produce less milk than usual. The locals made a discovery of a statue of Lord Narasimha as they were excavating the region and doing a survey of the hill. The residents started worshipping the sculpture after erecting a shrine around it in the hamlet. Kesavadas was the name of the cow herd that made the discovery, and the subsequent settlement that was established there was given the name Kesavadasupalem in honor of him.
