The practise of taking the god around the sacred hills of Simhachala and Kailasagiri is exclusive to this temple, and today is the day when the circumambulation takes place. This occasion will take place during the month of Ashada, which, according to the Hindu calendar, falls either in June or July.

- Nijaroopa Darshan of Narasimha Swamy is only available on this day of the year out of the 365 that make up the year. The Nijaroopa Darshan will be accessible for a total of only twelve hours.
