History of Srinivasa Mangapuram Temple:

Srinivasa Mangapuram’s Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swami Temple has located 12 km from Tirupati, 3 km from Chandragiri, and 29 km from the Tirumala Tirupati Temple of Lord Venkateswara. Towards the town of Chandragiri, you’ll find one of the most revered temples in the area of Tirupati. It’s a popular tourist attraction and is considered an important Tirupati Temple.

Around 1540 CE, a group of believers stumbled onto this location and found the old temple there. By unrelenting work, Chinna Thirumalaiyya, Annamacharya’s grandson, brought the temple to its current state. After tying the knot with Sri Padmavati Devi, Lord Venkateswara supposedly made his home here.

Once the nuptials were completed, Venkateswara traveled to the holy ashram of sage Agasthya in the Chandragiri Hills, close to the banks of the river Swarnamukhi. Supposedly, guru Agasthya invited them to spend six months at his ashram.
