People come from far away to do the Rahu Ketu Pooja, which is a prayer to get rid of the bad effects of the planets Rahu and Ketu. In the end, the elephant crushed the spider with his trunk and speared the snake with his tusk. The elephant died after being poisoned by the bite of the snake. Shiva was impressed by how much they cared about him, so the temple was named after the three people.
