Vaishno Devi History:

In ancient times, the Hindu trinity of Maha Lakshmi, Parvathi, and Saraswathi collaborated to create the goddess Sakthi and charged her with defending the principles of Dharma on planet Earth. When Ratnakar and his wife, both devoted Goddess worshippers, had a daughter, they gave her the name Vaishnavi in honour of their faith. Rama told Vaishnavi to meditate at an Ashram, so she did, and she plans to stay there till the end of the Kaliyug when she will finally be reunited with Lord Vishnu.

After learning about Goddess Vaishnavi’s presence on Earth, MahaYogi Guru Goraksh Nath paid a visit to the Ashram with his followers and Bhairon Nath to seek the deity’s blessings. Vaishnavi, armed with a bow and arrows and protected by apes and a lion, captivates Bhairon Nath. Vaishnavi was the target of Bhairon Nath’s pursuit; he intended to marry her. The sacred cave was her destination after Vaishnavi evaded him by travelling to Banganga, Charan Paduka, and Adhkwari. Angry with Bhairon, the Goddess severed his head, sending it flying far away.

Realizing his destiny, Bhairon took the side of the wrongdoers. God or Goddess was pleased with him, so she granted him a blessing that seeing Bhairon, or having Darshan of Bhairon, would result in the successful completion of his Yatra. The goddess assumed the appearance of a pinnacle rock with three human hands on it. There are three Pindies, and they are goddesses.
