Makara Sankranti Puja Vidhanam:

Despite the fact that Makar Sankranti is predominantly a day for worshipping Surya Bhagwan (the Sun God), people also perform puja for Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and Goddess Lakshmi.

To do the puja, follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Clear out the puja room.
  2. Fill the Panch Patra halfway with water.
  3. Then set a wooden chowki on top and cleanse it with Gangajal.
  4. Then cover it with a clean yellow cloth.

  11. Perform the Ganesha Gayatri Mantra.
  12. After worshipping to Lord Ganesha, perform Lord Shiva puja. Offer Chandan, Janeu, Kalava, Vilva Patra, flowers (datura flowers if feasible), incense, and fruit.
  13. Perform the Rudra Gayatri Mantra.
  14. After worshipping to Lord Shiva, offer Lord Vishnu Haldi, Chandan, Kumkum, Janeu, Kalava, Tulsi leaves, flowers, incense, and a fruit.
  15. Perform the Vishnu Gayatri Mantra.
  16. After you have worshipped Lord Vishnu, pray to Goddess Lakshmi.
  17. Offer Haldi, Chandan, Kumkum, Kalava, Lotus/flowers, incense, and a fruit, as well as a Tamboolam (a brown coconut with its husk broken in two, paan leaves and supari, some bananas/fruits, haldi, kumkum, some cash coins, and a piece of fresh cloth).
  18. Perform the Lakshmi Gayatri Mantra.
