What Sesha Theertham Tirumala Is About:

Sesha teertham is related to the sesh nag of Lord Vishnu. Every year, a lot of tourists come here to get Lord Vishnu’s blessings and enjoy the beautiful scenery of this great place. Sesha teertham has its own story and is important in Hindu mythology in a lot of ways. People say that once, Lord Vishnu was thirsty and wanted some water to drink. He asked garuda to bring him some water, but garuda didn’t get there in time, so Lord Vishnu told his sesh nag to hit a stream with his tail and get some water for him. 

Since then, this place has been called Sesha teertham. The sesha nag that lives above the head of Lord Vishnu is also called Adisesha. People go there to pray and get rid of Sarp dosh and other diseases. They put salt, jaggery, and pepper in the well and ask Lord Vishnu for better health. It is thought to be one of the most holy temples, and people believe that taking a holy dip in this water will make you healthy and wealthy.

Sesha Theertham is opened for public on 10th May, 2022. In 2023 it will be reopened for public on pournami day of March / April / May.

Sesha Theertham Tirumala Route:

• 10 km east of the Thirumala Kshetra is the Shesha Tirtha. But going to this old shrine in the Natta Nadi forests is said to be the most exciting journey. The foothills must be crossed on foot, and the place must also be reached on foot.
• Devotees start their journey at the Pachikalva Gangama Gudi in Thirumala by crossing the Sanarallamitta and Somireddy pits and walking through the limestone hills of Poligadi. 
• Then a Ravi tree comes into view… From there, you can see.. On the left, there is a piece of theertham left in a valley. We cross the three water streams in the middle of the valley to get to the last pool. If we cross this area on a raft, we will see something very holy.
• Here, you can see fresh streams coming out of the woods. On a rock with a snake wrapped around it, there is a picture of Venkateswara. Anyone who wants to see the water flowing between the rocks in the dim light must be lucky. 
• People who worship here think that taking a bath here will bring a lot of holy fruit.
• But thick forests, sandalwood trees that look like they reach for the sky, and big hills that block the sun from reaching the ground are all mounds of trees. So devotees should take the right safety measures when they travel.
• Because Shesha Theertham is one of the Tirumala Theerthams that is thought to be the most dangerous. Getting to this pilgrimage site is a very exciting adventure. 
• Dangerous and hard to type because you have to get permission from the TTD to do the rest of the pilgrimage. TTD is only allowed in a few rare situations.

• Not a good idea for kids.
