The utsava vigraha is taken to the mandapa for ‘Chaturdasa kalasa visesha puja,’ which consists of 14 kalas, every Monday at the second bell. In order to do ankurarpana and punyaha vachanam, archakas must first get approval from Sri Malayappa Swami. Tirumanjanam is done to the utsava murtis while the Panchasukatas-Sri, Bhu, Nila, Purusha, and Narayana Suktas are chanted.
Ginger oil, milk, curd, ghee, akshatas (holy grains of rice), darbha (fermented rice wine), and panchagavya will fill seven of the fourteen jars. On the other seven boats is where we find Sudhodaka (Pure Water).
At the end of the seva, the Abhisheka Harati is presented. The sacrifice of Purnahuti marks the end of the homa. Offerings of naivedya are made to the divine. Those who purchased an arjita Seva ticket and participated in this seva would get vastra bahumanam as a token of appreciation.
