The Vriddhagiriswarar Temple is an old temple that can be seen in the town of Vriddhachalam in the district of Cudd lore in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Thevaram, which was composed by Tamil poet-saints known as Nayanmars and is included in the category of Padel Petra Sthalam, is where the worship of the presiding god Vriddhagiriswarar takes place. In this temple, the number five holds special significance.

1. The five Lords who make up the Murthi are Lords Chandikeswara, Lord Shiva, Lord Muruga, and Lord Vinayaka.
2. Five names—Vruddhagiriswarar, Pazhamalai Nathar, Vruddhachaleswarar, Mudhu Kundreeswarar, and Vruddhagiri—are used to worship the Lord.
3.There are five lord Vinayaka statues inside the temple: Vallabha Ganapathi, Aazhathu Vinayakan, Mattru Uraitha Vinayaka, and Muppillayar.
4.The Lord was seen by five Rishis – Romsa, Viba Siddhu, Kumaradevi, Nada Sharma, and Agnivardhini.
5.The temple has five towers: east, west, south, north, and Kandarathithan (a Chola king) gopuram.
