Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Museum:

The S.V. Museum was founded in 1980 at Thousand Pillar mandapam, opposite Tirumala’s main temple. The S.V. Museum is now housed in a huge 1.25 lakh sq.ft facility opposite the Vaikuntam Queue Complex in Tirumala’s colourful environs, surrounded by lovely gardens, and is a joyous spot for visiting pilgrims. This museum embodies Tirumala traditions, Vaishnavism, and Hindu culture. It holds almost 6000 historical artefacts spanning in date from the very early era to the present. The collections are divided into eleven divisions, spanning from archaeology to modern things.

Antiques in Tirumala SV Museum:

Large iron bells, a massive winch used to hoist stones in temple construction, and cauldrons adorn the museum’s expansive galleries. The Hundi of the temple have received several gold and silver coins dating from the Roman Empire to the British period, all of which are shown in the museum. 
• The writings superscripted on the walls of Tirumala temple are widely recognised. The museum’s exterior gallery has over a thousand inscriptions detailing the temple’s history over the last 1500 years.
