the Department of Posts will begin distributing Rs.300 Special Darshan Tickets to the general public through its post offices in cooperation with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). According to the sources, the Department of Post has made the decision to make the service available at all 2348 of the state’s post offices in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The Tirumala Shrine Department (TTD), in collaboration with India Post, has introduced a new facility via which devotees can purchase Rs 300 Online Special Darshan tickets to enter the holy temple. On January 5, 2015, the programme was presented to the public in an official capacity.

On January 5, 2015, the TTD Executive Officer, Dr. Sambasiva Rao, introduced this service in the Tirupati Head Post office.

This service is now available in 95 different Head Post Offices and 2 different Sub Post Offices throughout the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. There might be as many as 5,000 tickets distributed by the TTD across a variety of slots for post offices that are included in this scheme. It is recommended that devotees buy their tickets at least four weeks in advance so that they can organise their schedule. It is the intention of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) to make available at all significant post offices in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana the option to purchase Darshan tickets at a cost of three hundred rupees each.

  • Dressing respectfully is required for anyone who wish to visit the shrine. The applicants are required to wear a dhoti, pyjamas, and either an uttariya or a shirt without sleeves.
  • Candidates are required to dress appropriately for the examination by donning chuddidar pyjama sets, sarees, half-sarees with tops, or half-sarees with outer garments.
