Tirumala’s Tumburu Theertham:
One of Sri Venkatadri’s twenty heavenly names is ‘Tirthadri,’ which means “abode of sacred water sites.” There are 108 important Tirthas on the hill of this Tirumala, according to numerous Puranas such as Brahma Purana, Brahmanda Purana, Padma Purana, Varaha Purana, and others, of which 108 have divine potential to satisfy the requests of Sri Venkateswara’s followers.
There are only SEVEN Tirthas out of the 108 Tirthas that can grant devotees Moksha.
Among them are Swami vari Pushkarini, Kumara Dhara Theertham, Tumburu Theertham, Rama Krishna Theertham, Akasha Ganga Theertham, Papa Vinashana Theertham, and Pandava Theertham.

Bathing in this water is extremely calming, and it is believed to wash away evils and provide good luck. Tumburu Theertham’s Story:
Tumburu Gandharva cursed his lazy wife to change into a frog and live in Tirumala Lake, according to folklore. Tumburu Gandharva afterwards repented and promised his wife that when Sage Agastya visits the location and speaks of its holiness, she will revert to her previous form.
After several years, Sage Agastya and his students arrived at the place. He was sitting beneath a tree, where the frog had sought sanctuary. The Sage spoke of the cave’s holiness; it is believed that swimming in the Tirth leads to moksha, or release. After hearing the sage’s words, the frog reverted to its former form. This sacred lake is known as Tumburu Theertham.
