According to popular tradition, Brahma, the creator God, initiated this festival, which was originally held in Sri Balaji at Tirupati. To offer thanks for the Lord’s protection of humanity, Brahma worshipped Sri Balaji on the banks of the sacred Pushkarini in Tirupati. As a result, this utsava is referred to as “Brahmotsavam,” or “Brahma’s Utsavam.”
Tirumala is well-known for the Utsavas performed in honour of Lord Venkateswara. The most sacred and valuable utsavam is Brahmotsavam. Tirumala Brahmotsavam 2022 Dates and Darshan Timings Status
2022 Tirumala Brahmotsavam:
Brahmotsavams are celebrated in Tirumala for ten days. Several events will be held throughout these days. Ankurarpanam, which takes place on the first day, is well renowned. In preparation for Brahmotsavam, the temple was cleaned and beautifully swept today. The garuda flag, which heralds the start of the Brahmotsavams, is located in Dwajarohanam. The second highlight of Brahmotsavam is Vahana sevas, when the Lord rides on numerous vahanam and people from all over come to watch them. The Lord is worshipped on a variety of vahanas, the most recent of which is Chakra snanam.

Tirumala brahmotsavam 2022 will take place from September 26 to October 5, culminating with Chakra snanam. Tirumala Brahmotsavams lasts 10 days, and devotees from all over the world, including many from India, go to Tirumala to participate.

The following documents are required for Tirumala Darshan:
- According to the TTD website, devotees must submit their covid vaccination certificate (2 doses) or Covid-19 negative certificate received 72 hours before the day of darshan.
- All pilgrims are required to produce the same original Photo ID (PAN card, Aadhaar card, passport, or voter identification card) that they used to schedule their trip.
- To get free admission, children under the age of 12 must provide evidence of age.

- Worshippers must wear traditional attire when visiting the temple.
- Male devotees must dress in a Dhoti/pyjama and a shirt/uttariya (upper garment).
- Women wear sarees or churidars (half-sarees with blouses) (pyjamas with an overclothes).
After Chakrasnanam, the Garuda flag mounted on the flagpole of Srivari temple is lowered (lowered) that evening. With this descent, it is like bidding farewell to all the deities who came to the Brahmotsavam. Brahmotsavams are also considered to have ended auspiciously. Again Brahmotsavam is exactly one year later! A year has passed since lakhs of devotees could happily participate in those celebrations!!
