In the Hindu Telugu calendar used in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Kartik Masa is the eighth month. From October 26 to November 23, 2022, is Kartika Masa. People do different rituals, vratas, and austerities during this month to honour both Shiva and Vishnu. This month is when Nagula Chavithi, one of the most important ceremonies in Andhra Pradesh for snakes, is held.
During Kartik Month, people do special rituals and fast on Mondays. Lord Shiva is usually worshipped on Mondays in the Hindu religion. But people who worship Lord Shiva think that Mondays in the months of Shravan and Kartik are very important.
