Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Temple, also known as Srisailam Temple, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva and Parvati in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Srisailam Bhramaramba Temple – Jyothirlinga and Shakti Peetham:
The temple is significant to both the Hindu sects of Shaivam and Shaktam since it is one of Lord Shiva’s twelve Jyothirlingas and one of goddess Parvati’s eighteen Shakti Peethas. The sacred Lingam represents Lord Shiva, who is known as Shri Mallikarjuna in this region. Parvati is shown as his consort, Goddess Bhramaramba. The temple is one of only three in India where Jyotirlinga and Shaktipeetha are revered.

Srisailam Bhramaramba Temple on Durga Navratri 2022:
Durga Navaratri, also known as Dasara Utsavam, is one of the most important celebrations of the Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Srisailam, Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district. Durga Navratri is a ten-day festival that begins shortly after Mahalaya Amavasya and ends with Shami Puja on Vijaya Dashami.

Throughout the festivities, special Pujas and Archanas are performed for Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy. Bhramarambika Devi, his wife, is revered in all nine of Her Navadurga manifestations. The Vahana Sevas to Lord Mallikarjuna and Goddess Bhramaramba are the most important occasions in Srisailam.
Durga Navratri Pooja 2022 in Srisailam Bhramaramba Temple:
- Dasara Navratri begins and ends with the Ganapati Pooja, Kalasha Sthapana, and Poornahuthi.
- On these days, in addition to the Navaratri special Pujas such as the Kumari Puja, Suhasini Puja, and Dampati Puja, unique Pujas and Archanas are performed.
- Before the start of the Navratri celebrations, a variety of specialised Pujas are performed, including Yagashala Pravesham, Ganapati Puja, Swasthi Punyahavachanam, Deeksha Sankalpam, Kankana Puja, Rudrayaga Sankalpam, Deekshadharana, Kankana Dharana, Mandaparadhana, and Kalasha Sthapana Puja.
- Vaasthu Homam, Vaasthu Puja, and Chandiyaganga Akhanda Sthapana followed.
- In the evening, there will be performances by Parayanam and Japanushtana. At five o’clock on the same day, Ankurarapana, Agni Prathishta, Navavaranarchana, Kumkumarchana, Rudrahomam, and Chandi homam.
- Teertha Prasada Vitharana, Neerajana Mantra Pushpam, Maha Mangala Aarati, Suhasini Puja, and Kalaratri Puja are all completed by nine o’clock in the evening.
- On the evening of Vijaya Dashami, Shami Puja is performed, and the Navaratri celebrations conclude.
