Arjitha Seva:

Arjitham means that you can see the Lord or do service for him for a fee set by the Temple Administration. “Amantranotsavam” means that you have to pay a fee to get into a seva.

The Vaikhanasa Agama has been followed by the daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly arjitha sevas or festivals at the famous Lord Venkateswara hill temple in Tirumala for many centuries.

The Vaikhanasa Agama suggests doing six pujas every day: Prathyusham, which promotes a healthy population; Pratahkala, which promotes Japa and Homa; Madhyahna, which promotes the kingdom; Aparahna, which gets rid of bad people; Sayankala, which leads to more and better crops; and Nisi aradhana, which encourages the growth of cattle. Since it’s not always possible to do six pujas every day at a temple, the same agama says that at least one puja should be done every day.
