What’s the point of Ganesh Chaturthi?
Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati spent many years living in Kailash. One day, Goddess Parvati wanted to take a bath, but no one was there to watch her. She made a boy-shaped idol out of turmeric and gave it life. She told her son to make sure no one else came into the house while she took a bath. Lord Shiva went back to his house, but the boy wouldn’t let him in. Lord Shiva got mad at the boy who wouldn’t give up, so he used his “Trishul” to cut off the boy’s head.
