Chaitra Month, also known as Chaitra Masa, is the first month of the traditional Telugu calendar used in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Chaitra Masa 2023 is from March 22 to April 20 according to the Telugu calendar. Shobha Krutu Nama Samvatsara and Shak Year 1945 commence on the first day of Chaitra, which is the Telugu New Year (Ugadi). Chaitra Amavasya’s Significance in Hindu Culture

This year’s Chaitra Amavasya will occur on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. It is a highly auspicious and significant day, so spiritual rituals and healing are performed on this day. Sankatahara Chavithi, a monthly fast dedicated to Lord Ganesh, will take place on April 9, 2023, when the moon rises at 10:10 p.m. (Indian standard time).

• On April 6, the 41-day Hanuman Jayanti Vrat deeksha begins.
