Deepavali 2022 is one of India’s biggest celebrations because it is an important time for Lakshmi Chopda Pujan. Lakshmi lives in places where she is worshipped and kept clean. On this day in the month of Kartik, businesspeople are closing their old books and buying new ones so they can start writing their financial accounts in the new ones. Its way of worship has the same kind of power. For the first time in a long time, Diwali will be on a Thursday. On Monday, October 24, 2022, it will happen.

Diwali poojan chopda pujan time:

  • Chopda Puja will be on Monday, October 24, 2022.
  • Choghadiya Muhurat is a good Chopda Puja time for Diwali 
  • Afternoon Muhurat: 5:27–5:49 p.m. (Chara, Labha, Amrita).
  • Evening Muhurat (Chara): 5:49 p.m. to 7:21 p.m.
  • The Night Muhurat (Labha) is from 10:25 PM to 11:57 PM.
  • Early Morning Muhurat (Shubha, Amrita, Chara): October 25 from 1:29 a.m. to 6:05 a.m.
  • Amavasya Tithi starts at 5:27 p.m. on October 24, 2022
  • Amavasya Tithi ends on October 25, 2022, at 4:18 p.m.

In Rajasthan and Maharashtra, Hindu business people also do the rituals of Chopda Puja or Muhurat Puja.

  1. A piece of new cloth is put on a raised platform to start the puja.
  2. There are a few handfuls of grains in the middle, and a gold, silver, or copper pot sits on top of them.
  3. Three-quarters of the pot is filled with water, a betel nut, a flower, a coin, and rice grains. There are five kinds of mango tree leaves that are used.
  4. A bowl with rice grains in it sits on top of the pot.
  5. On top of the rice, turmeric is used to draw a lotus, and a statue of Goddess Lakshmi is put on top of the pot with coins all around it. The statue of Lord Ganesha is put to the right of the pot, in front of it.
  6. Pens and account books are kept on the platform.
  7. A lamp is lit. At the beginning of the puja, turmeric, kumkum, and flowers are given to the Goddess Lakshmi and the water that will be used in the puja.
  8. To pray to Goddess Lakshmi, mantras from the Vedas are used. Flowers are brought to the idol.
  9. A statue of Lakshmi is washed with water, Panchamrita (a mixture of milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar), and then water with a gold ornament or a pearl in it.
  10. The statue is then put back on the pot. Sandal paste, a necklace of cotton beads, saffron paste, perfume, turmeric, kumkum, Abir, an incense stick, Gulal, marigold flowers, and Bael leaves are also given. 
  11. An offering includes sweets, Puffed Rice, Coriander seeds, Cumin seeds, coconut, fruits, and Tambul. An Aarti is done at the end to honour Goddess Lakshmi.
