What is Vaishnava Parsva Ekadashi:
Ekadashi is the eleventh lunar day of each of the two lunar phases, Shukla Paksa and Krishna Paksa, according to the Hindu calendar. So, a Hindu calendar month has two Ekadashi days. On the day of Ekadashi, most Hindus who worship Lord Vishnu do so. On Ekadashi, devotees keep a strict fast and don’t break it until after sunrise the next day. Devotees can choose either to observe fast without water or only with water or with only fruits based on their beliefs. Hindus believe that people who fast on Ekadashi get rid of bad planetary influences, are blessed with happiness, and find the peace of mind they need to think about God and reach Moksha.
Sometimes, Ekadashi calls for fasting for two days in a row. It is suggested that Smartha and his family only fast on the first day. The second one, the alternate Ekadashi fast, is recommended for Sanyasis, widows, and people who want Moksha. When Smartha is told to fast every other Ekadashi, that day is also a Vaishnava Ekadashi fasting day. According to the Hindu Scriptures, if a person observes Aja Ekadashi Vrat with full devotion and dedication, Lord Vishnu will forgive all the sins that person has done in this life and in past lives.

Vaishnava Parsva Ekadashi Pooja Details:
People believe that the Parsva Ekadashi vrat brings happiness, wealth, and good health to the person who does it. Also, it makes up for past sins and frees the person from the cycle of being born and dying over and over again. By doing the Parsva Ekadashi vrat, devotees can get spiritual benefits and strengthen their willpower. People think that Parsva Ekadashi is better than the other ekadashi days because it falls during the ‘Chaturmas’ period. The “Brahma Vivarta Purana” also talks about the meaning of Parsva Ekadashi through a conversation between Lord Krishna and King Yudhisthira.
